I'm an Admin
Q:
How does this work?
A:
You tell Discord who you are, and Discord will let us know your username, avatar, and banner.
Q:
Ok, but why do you need me to login?
A:
This way, we ensure that two players with similar names don't accidentally use each other's accounts. And the Tournament Admins can reach you via Discord.
Q:
Will you know my email, name, or phone?
A:
Nope. Zilch. Nada. We don't need it; we don't want it; we don't ask Discord for it.
Q:
But what exactly is this witchery?
A:
Ok, if you want to get technical...
We're using the
Oauth2
protocol to communicate with Discord securely.
You log in to Discord and agree to let us know who you are. Discord then vouches for you and gives us your Discord name, discriminator (that little number next to your name), Avatar pointer, and your Discord ID.
